Get Involved

Los Osos/Baywood’s parks and paths grow stronger when neighbors get involved. Here are simple ways you can help move projects like Sunnyside Park and future parks and trails forward.

Volunteer

Lend your time and energy to support Parks for Los Osos:

  • Community outreach: Help table at local events, share information with neighbors, and gather input about park and trail needs.

  • Sunnyside Park support: Assist with meetings, neighborhood outreach, and community workshops focused on the Sunnyside Park effort.

  • Events and work days: Join cleanup days, walks, and other community activities that highlight our parks and public spaces.

  • Skills and leadership: Share professional skills (design, communications, organizing, fundraising, legal, etc.) or consider serving on committees or the board.

Stay Informed

Stay connected so you hear about new projects and opportunities to help:

  • Email updates: Sign up for our newsletter to receive news about Sunnyside Park, other park and trail efforts, and upcoming events.

  • Community alerts: Get notified about key meetings, hearings, and public comment opportunities where your voice matters.

  • Social media: Follow us on your preferred platforms (list them here) to share posts and invite friends and neighbors to get involved.

Your financial support makes it possible to plan, advocate, and act:

  • Give to the General Fund (Parks 4 Los Osos / P4LO) to support parks, trails, and pedestrian projects community‑wide.

  • Give to specific campaigns to help meet project‑specific needs.

  • Consider recurring monthly gifts to provide steady support for long‑term work.

You can make a big impact simply by sharing:

  • Share our updates, events, and donation links in neighborhood email lists, social media groups, and community bulletin boards.

  • Invite us to speak briefly at local meetings, clubs, classes, or faith communities.

  • Event partnerships (co‑hosted walks, cleanups, or information nights).

  • Sponsorships or in‑kind support for campaigns like Support Sunnyside Park.
